In the 24th chapter in the book of Matthew, Jesus told the desciples many things that would foretell when it was near the time that he would return.  KJV

Acts 1:6-11  When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?  And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.  But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth.  And when he had spoken these things while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.  And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven?  this same Jesus which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

According to all the things Jesus spoke of in Matthew chapter 24, His second coming is imminent, but Jesus also said in verse 36 'But of that day and that hour knoweth NO MAN, NO, NOT THE ANGELS OF HEAVEN, BUT MY FATHER ONLY.'

So, don't let ANYONE tell you they KNOW when Jesus will return, because they are lying!!  BUT???

In verse 42 of the same chapter Jesus said "Watch therefore: for ye know NOT what hour your Lord doth come.

Verse 27: For as the lightening cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Verse 43 & 44: But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered (permitted) his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Mark 21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
